We are fortunate to have a neighborhood park that includes a newer playground, a tennis court, and basketball court. The courts are a bit older, but we are working on making improvements so they can be continued to be used for years to come. Back behind the courts, we have an open field which can be used to play kickball, soccer, baseball and more! And of course, there's lots of woods and natural area with creeks that you're able to explore.
Happenings around Sardis Forest
In January we kicked off our monthly Happy Hour at the park! It is such an easy way to enjoy the park amenities while also meeting and chatting with neighbors while the kids played on the playground. Mark your calendars for February 22nd at 4:00 for our next happy hour at the park! We will have a firepit again so feel free to bring the necessities for smores for your family and tailgate chairs to use around the fire.
We are looking at either March 22nd or 29th for a community work day to help spruce up the park.
Sam's Express Car Wash Fundraiser
We are still selling $25 gift cards to Sam's Xpress Car Wash. At this point, we have paid Sam's for their half and every gift card sold going forward goes directly back to the neighborhood. Our first fundraising goal is $700 which will go towards a new basketball goal and some repairs to the surface of the courts thanks to a wonderful neighbor who has volunteered his services and connections.
